Greystone GT’s Stewart and Lewis Proctor delivered a pair of top-10 finishes in the Pro-Am category on a hard-fought weekend of racing in mixed weather conditions in the International GT Open at Monza. The Scottish father-and-son duo continued their recent upturn in form seen most potently at the Red Bull Ring earlier this month at Italy’s ‘Cathedral of Speed’, racing hard against high-quality opposition aboard their #66 Prosource McLaren 720S GT3 Evo.

Greystone GT scored another GT Cup podium finish at Donington Park to ensure that Phillip Carter and Michael Broadhurst will go to the final round of the series as contenders for the GTH title. The result for the Silverstone team, which was the eighth top-three finish for the #14 McLaren 570S GT4, was the highlight a weekend in which a number of unfortunate incidents caused Phillip and Michael valuable points.

Greystone GT scored a first pole position and a best-ever finish in the International GT Open last weekend while ultra-strong race pace in the British GT Championship should have netted the Silverstone-based team a top-five finish. The speed shown by both Stewart and Lewis Proctor at the Red Bull Ring and by Mike Price and Callum Macleod at Brands Hatch was a clear indication of the increasing competitiveness of both the McLaren and Mercedes-AMG packages in the two series.

Greystone GT achieved one of the best weekends in the history of the team with landmark victories in both the GT Cup at Silverstone and in the McLaren Trophy at Germany’s world-renowned Nurburgring. With Phillip Carter scoring his first career win on home soil and the Anglo-American duo Jem Hepworth and Rafa Martinez securing a maiden McLaren Trophy class win in Europe, it was a truly remarkable few days for the Silverstone-based squad.
