Greystone GT are delighted to welcome Andrey Borodin and Oli Webb back to the British GT Championship for a full-season assault with a brand-new McLaren 720S GT3 Evo.
The duo contested the UK’s leading racing series aboard a similar car in 2023 before switching to an international programme for 2024 that included the British GT overseas trip to Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium.
Now both Andrey and Oli return to UK shores for the series, which begins at Donington Park on April 5-6.
Oxfordshire-based Andrey made his Greystone GT debut as a rookie in 2021 and scored several GT Cup podium results during his first handful of events.
Moving up to British GT, he scored a GT3 Silver-Am podium finish at Donington Park in 2022 and contested a full season with Oli the following year before the pair moved to the International GT Open for 2024.
As part of his British GT build-up programme, he will contest the opening round of the GT Cup Championship – in which he is a multiple podium finisher – in the McLaren at Donington on March 29-30.
He will be co-driven in the GT Cup event by Ed Pead, who joined Andrey and Oli in the McLaren to finish fourth in February’s Portimao six-hour endurance race.
Professional racer Oli, meanwhile, is flying high after winning the McLaren Trophy Europe 570S title in 2024 with Greystone GT alongside his International GT Open programme with Andrey.
The 2014 European Le Mans Series overall champion is also an outright winner of the Dubai 24 Hours, an LMP2 podium finisher at the Le Mans 24 Hours and a GT4 victor at the Gulf 12 Hours among his many achievements.
The 2025 British GT Championship starts at Donington Park on April 5-6 and comprises seven events including the three-hour ‘Silverstone 500’ in April, a summer visit to Spa and a finale – again at Donington – on October 4-5.
Mark McLoughlin, Team Principal, said: “I’m very excited to welcome Andrey and Oli back to the British GT Championship after spending 2024 in the International GT Open. The UK circuits are some of the most challenging in the world and this generally brings out the very best in both our Pro and Am drivers. Winter preparations have gone very well with testing and the Portimao six-hour race and Andrey’s progress since his last full season in British GT has been significant. This will be the first full-season campaign for Andrey where he’ll be familiar with all the circuits on the calendar. That, combined with Oli’s undoubted speed and championship-winning experience, means we can aim for some good results across the year.”
